Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, who is carrying the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, will reach the city this morning with Priyanka Gandhi. Preparations regarding this continued till late night at the Congress level. At the same time, work on security and traffic management continued at the police administrative level. Here, many senior party leaders started arriving in the city late at night. Leaders at the local level were busy gathering crowds to welcome the Yatra.
This yatra stopped at Pandrawal in Bulandshahr on the night of 24th February. From there it will leave for Aligarh at eight in the morning. The yatra will reach Jamalpur bridge from Anupshahr Road via Jawan at 8.30 am. From there both the leaders will reach Shamshad Market in an hour through road show. After addressing the public from the open jeep here, we will board vehicles and leave for Hathras via Tasveer Mahal, Jail Bridge, GT Road, Sarsaul. Regarding the arrival of this yatra, senior Congress leaders, former MLA Vivek Bansal, Yogesh Dixit, District President Santosh Singh, National General Secretary of Mahila Congress Pratima Singh, Sheoraj Jeevan, Metropolitan President Anwar Akil, Ajay Sharma, Tariq Gandhi, Seva Dal District President Alok Gaur, Rupesh Pathak, Amit Upadhyay Rinku, Sagar Singh Tomar are busy in preparations. Security and traffic management is being done separately from the level of police administration. Here, many leaders of the state and national committee had reached Aligarh late in the night.
Chadarposhi program did not come in AMU
The camp of AMU students associated with Congress wanted that when Rahul Gandhi was passing by AMU, he should go to AMU by placing a chadar at Sarsayyad’s tomb. Regarding this, former Vice President of AMU Students Union and AICC member Majin Zaidi had also put forward a proposal before the team that came to prepare the route plan. But no such program has come till late night of 24th February. Regarding this, Majin Zaidi has said that he and his fellow students wanted this. But no program has come yet.
